Add a teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the brewing basket with your grounds. It adds a warm and festive flavor to your favorite coffee.
2. Vietnamese Coffee
Instead of milk and sugar, use sweetened condensed milk to lighten and sweeten your hot coffee. The result is a rich and creamy delight. This drink is also great iced.
3. Irish Coffee
Add a dollop of Irish whiskey to hot coffe, then sweeten to taste with sugar. Top with lightly sweetened whipped cream. For a special touch, garnish with a bit of cocoa powder or cinnamon.
4. Nutty Irishman
Stir a shot each of Bailey’s Irish Cream and Frangelico into a cup of hot coffee for a grown-up indulgence for a winter night. Top with sweetened whipped cream if desired.
5. The Beccacino
According to Imbibe Magazine, this recipe is an old Seattle bar tradition. Fill a glass halfway with iced coffee, then add 1 ounce of brandy, 1/2 ounce amaretto, 1/2 ounce Irish Mist and 1/2 ounce Benedictine. Top with whipping cream for an indulgent treat.
6. The Dark Moon
Can’t decide whether it’s time for a coffee or a rum and coke? Have both! Pour a 50/50 mix of iced coffee and cola over ice in a glass, then add an ounce of rum.

9. The Easy Mocchachino
No need to go to the coffee house for this. You can make a simple version of this drink at home by mixing 3 ounces of hot chocolate (from a mix is fine) with 3 ounces of freshly brewed black coffee.
10. The Coffee Margarita
Patron Espresso Tequila is a great ambassador for those who thought they’d sworn that spirit off. This drink blends a shot of Espresso Patron with 4 ounces of coffee and a shot of triple sec. Shake these ingredients with ice, then pour into a glass that has been rimmed with cocoa powder and cinnamon. Garnish with a twist of orange peel.
Coffee is one of those drinks that’s great on its own but sometimes even better as an ingredient in a special drink. Add these and other recipes to your repertoire to add a special touch to your fall afternoons and evenings.
